Government Reassures CNI of Commitment to Supporting Private Sector

Kathmandu: A delegation from the Confederation of Nepalese Industries (CNI) met with Minister for Labour, Employment and Social Security, Sharat Singh Bhandari, and Minister for Federal Affairs and General Administration, Aman Lal Modi, to discuss the role of the government in promoting the private sector.

Led by newly elected President Rajesh Kumar Agrawal, the Confederation team engaged in separate meetings with the ministers to exchange views on the nation's economy, labor issues, transportation, and other pertinent topics.

During the meetings, the Confederation emphasized the need for the government to actively support and promote economic activities and the private sector. They highlighted the impact of the economic slowdown on the private sector and stressed the importance of government efforts to revitalize it.

Additionally, the delegation urged the government to increase minimum remuneration for employees, addressing the concerns of labor welfare.

Both ministers extended their congratulations to the newly elected executive committee of the Confederation and expressed their wishes for a successful tenure. They reassured the delegation of the government's commitment to supporting the private sector, providing assurance of ongoing assistance and cooperation to drive economic growth.
